For some reason this latest version (October 6, 2019 update) launches Discord when I try running the game. I could only run the game by uninstalling Discord and then it was fine. However, is there any other fix for this? I'll keep trying to figure it out, but if I do i'll post back here again to let everyone know.
Edit (30 minutes later): Ok so you don't have to uninstall Discord to run this version of Megasphere. You just have to have Discord running first and then Megasphere will boot up to the Title Screen just fine where you select the new game, options, and credits menu buttons. If you have Discord installed, but you boot up Megasphere without starting it then the game closes and boots up Discord. So then you have to start Megasphere again after Discord loads.
If you boot up the game without Discord in Windows 10 you get a pop up window at the title screen menu saying you need Discord, but you can just click off to the black part of the title screen and its fine. The pop-up doesn't come up in Windows 7 though and the game launches normally even if Discord is closed. One last thing, you don't have to login to Discord to make it work either for both Windows 7 and 10.
So its annoying, but still an easy fix to have Discord running in the background first and then running this version of Megasphere
